There is an excellent source of pride concerning Cougar Athletics.  Sacred Heart offers a variety of competitive athletic opportunities for children of all ages.  Our seventh and eight grade students are able to compete with area schools in Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Drill Team, and Cheerleading.  SHCS is a member of the Jayhawk League and has League events with Kennedy Middle School in Hays, Larnard Middle School, Pratt Middle School, and hopes to add additional schools to our League schedule.  In additional to our League games we also play area schools.  A new addition to our sports offerings is intramurals for our K- 6 students.  Girls K-6 may also join Dance Cats for Drill Team.

Sacred Heart Students are also competitive and enjoy great participation in music and academic electives.  David Cutright offers students opportunities to sing in choir, play and march in band, dance, both in private lessons and class electives.  Our music program is an excellent chance for student to enjoy performing.  SHCS has been a active participant in Science Relays, Geography Bee’s, Art Competitions and exhibits, and often wins area Spelling Bee’s.

Sacred Heart School is a wonderful place for children to grow and become involved.  It is documented that SHCS students are among the greatest competitors in the region and school pride is unmatched.  Teachers and Staff are committed to include all students in activities so that no child is left out of performing and being recognized for their efforts in extracurriculars.
