As we dive in evermore preparing for the upcoming school year, I’m excited to help make my children’s school the best in the state. As parents, grandparents, and friends of Sacred Heart students you all share my desire as well.
To be the best in the state, we must do more than dream. We must act. Our service to the school and the Church are part of this process. Each community member must give in their special way. We all have strengths and talents. Ask yourself what is your talent and how can it make Sacred Heart better.
Whatever our talents and ideas are, we cannot share them at school or for school events unless we have met the requirements for working with the children. One of the main requirements for volunteering is to have completed the Protecting God’s Children program.
This one-time program has been completed by many of our parents and community members, but any new families or families who have never completed the program are required to attend if they hope to volunteer at the school and drive or chaperone for field trips.
In Dodge City, the program will be given on Sunday, August 8 in the St. Augustine/St. Monica room at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe from 3-6 p.m.
Think of the wonderful works we can accomplish. This begins with your thoughts and prayers now and continues with your attendance on August 8. |
