Helps families make the important decisions regarding adoption, provides home studies for adoptive and foster parents and provides counseling to teens with unexpected pregnancies in addition to helping families with a special needs child find respite care. A growing concern for young parents who are struggling with their role as parents prompted enhancement of our teen pregnancy program to encourage and provide practical assistance for parenting teens. Our goal with The Teens Moms program is to provide the health of the teen mother and her infant, reduce child abuse potential, reduce parenting stress, support positive decision making, increase school completion, reduce the incidence of low birth weight babies, reduce smoking and substance abuse during pregnancy and support adolescent fathers.
