This week we will be continuing working on fractions in math. We are learning adding and subtracting fractions. Please be patient with you child, as this is probably new to them. Also, continue practicing multiplication and division facts with them frequently.
Also, we will be having a book report for February. It will be a book of the genre of their choice. They will fill out the book report form and it will be due on February 29.

I hope everyone enjoyed the day off in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. We are getting back in the swing of things and ready for the auction. Thanks to all parents helping out with this fundraiser for our school! Each class makes a basket and a project to sell at the auction and we are asking that each student bring in $10 to help cover the cost of these. Many of you have already brought this in and I appreciate it.
We have begun long division in math class. Please be patient with your children as they begin working on this new skill. I also highly recommend going over multiplication, addition, and subtraction facts at home for extra practice. This will make long division easier in the long run. If there are any questions, please feel free to email or come by and ask. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you all have had a fun and relaxing summer! I look forward to having all of you in my class this year!
There was an error in the 4th grade supply list. The list asks for 2 packages for Expo markers. ONLY 2 MARKERS ARE NEEDED, NOT 2 PACKAGES.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
In Christ,
Ms. Ritter |
