I hope everyone enjoyed the day off in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.  We are getting back in the swing of things and ready for the auction.  Thanks to all parents helping out with this fundraiser for our school!  Each class makes a basket and a project to sell at the auction and we are asking that each student bring in $10 to help cover the cost of these.  Many of you have already brought this in and I appreciate it.

We have begun long division in math class.  Please be patient with your children as they begin working on this new skill.  I also highly recommend going over multiplication, addition, and subtraction facts at home for extra practice.  This will make long division easier in the long run.  If there are any questions, please feel free to email or come by and ask.  Thank you so much for your support!

We will also be having our first math test on Wednesday, September 14.  We have been taking notes in our math notebooks to study from and we will be working on a study guide.

Don't forget: 4th grade students need to be reading for at least 20 minutes each night and recording in their reading logs.  This is part of their reading grade!
