Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic School - Dodge City, KS

*Merry Christmas*

IMPORTANT REMINDER

As a reminder, at pre-enrollment,  each family was asked to complete a page that shared  their Stewardship at the school and parish. Those who were active in the Church and their Parish received “Stewardship Family Assistance” and  tuition was $2,235 for the first child and $1,705 for the second. Any children beyond this do not have tuition cost. Stewardship families are also eligible for additional income based assistance.

Stewardship Family is defined as meeting these requirements:

  1. Complete and return the Stewardship Renewal form at their parish (done each November)
  2. Families must have an envelope history at COLG or their parish of record showing regular

Mass attendance through their contribution envelopes. Families using electronic means of

offertory can simply write “on-line giving” on their envelopes. SHCS will review Mass

attendance (from envelope use only) throughout the school year. Any family may decline

tuition assistance at any time and does so by not meeting the requirements.

We are confirming that all of our Catholic/Stewardship families have turned in their Stewardship renewal forms.

You would fall into one of these categories:

  • You receive the active Catholic/Stewardship rate (and possibly additional income based assistance) and have NOT  turned in the attached form. Please fill out the attached form and return it to the school office by Tuesday, December 18.
  • You receive the active Catholic/Stewardship rate (and possibly additional income based assistance) and already returned the attached form to COLG.  Please disregard this letter and form.
  • You do not receive the Catholic/Stewardship rate.  Please disregard this letter and form.

Parent Letter 8/31/18

It's been a great week here in the 3rd grade classroom!

Just a Few Reminders:

Please send your completed "We Need Help" sheet from Parent Information Night back to school with your child on Tuesday, September 4th, whether you are able to help or not.

No school on Monday, September 3rd.

Picture day is Wednesday - Students wear uniforms - Order forms in Friday Folder

The 3rd grade will lead mass on Thursday, September 20th, if you'd like to attend and need to plan in advance.

Please remember to sign your child's agenda daily, even Friday.

First Week of School

I am reaffirmed in my decision to teach at a Catholic School as the school year starts.  The students in their uniforms, the masses for Christ our King feeding my soul, the presence of Jesus Christ, God & the Holy Spirit surrounding our learning environment; we are truly blessed.

We settled in this week.  Students helped set procedures and classroom responsibilities, got to know one another again, as well as their new teacher, and dove into the curriculum.  I feel it will be a tremendous year, filled with many reasons for praise and thanksgiving.

I look forward to seeing all the parents and family members on

Parent Information Night | Tuesday, August 28th at 5:30 p.m. | Sacred Heart Gym

Peace be with you.
