Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic School Activities Update
As many of you are aware, with the passing of Senate Bill 113, our SHCCS students now have the opportunity to participate in athletics/activities with USD 443.
According to the bill and KHSAA, Sacred Heart cannot solely limit our students to participation at SHCCS. Please bear in mind that if enough families choose to play for USD 443, we will no longer be able to offer sports and activities. In accordance with KSHSAA, Sacred Heart will not transport students to and from practice or be responsible for any other aspect of USD 443 athletics/activities programs, including collecting forms or contacting coaches and administrators. Participation with USD 443 is a family choice, and therefore becomes a family responsibility once that choice is made. Student absences for games/activities will be considered excused, but it is the responsibility of parents to notify the office of your student’s absence as well as pick up arrangements.
