An effective method of achieving or postponing pregnancy, NFP accepts fertility as a normal and healthy process, which is a precious gift from God; a gift to be loved, respected, understood and wisely used. Certified teachers provide instruction and materials to educate couples on this method that is in full union with the Catholic Church. Artificial contraceptives go against the Catholic Church and may cause unwanted or dangerous side effects. NFP is based on scientific research and is extremely effective. NFP promotes spirituality and intimacy in the marriage.
